Vinita Nair
The station was founded on July 4, 2004 and was a reporter across a variety of topics, including the Jon Benet Ramsey murder investigation as well as the school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair began working for ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. To fulfill her duties as a reporter, she delivered live reports as well as briefings for ABC's network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now and America This Morning on ABC beginning on September 17, 2008, up to February 18, 2011. In both programs, Nair was partnered initially alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. Nair revealed on Thursday, 17 February 2011, the date for her final night the show's broadcast at World News Now would be on Friday, February 18th. She would also have one final day of work for ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her replacement immediately. The edition on February 18, World News Now paid tribute to Nair during each of its three segments. The show also included appearances from current and former colleagues including Jeremy Hubbard. She treated the crew to breakfast that was hot on her last day.
